WEC to run driver points in each class

Drivers' champions will be declared in each of the four classes in the FIA World Endurance Championship next year. The FIA, acting on a recommendation of series promoter the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, has decided to award drivers' points in LMP2 and GTE Pro and Am for the first time next season. There will be an FIA World Cup for LM GTE Drivers and FIA Endurance Trophies awarded for the LMP2 and GTE Drivers' championships
